Our Story

Families seek Early Childhood Education for a multitude of reasons, but at the core, we all want the same thing: a safe place where we know our child is being nurtured, and where we find them happy and thriving. At Rise, we are a group of passionate educators ready to work hand-in-hand with our families to meet each child exactly where they are, helping them grow to their full potential.

Rise Preschool is the vision of Malori Doxsee, a mother and Early Childhood Educator. You enter parenthood hearing that it takes a village, but oftentimes it feels like you’re scrambling to do it all on your own. Rise was created to help build that village—both as a mother and a provider—for families much like her own. Malori and her husband moved to the West End of Atlanta in the fall of 2020. Since then, they’ve watched both the neighborhood and their own family grow. They saw a need for high-quality, dependable early childhood education in the area and are excited about the opportunity to offer it to other families in their community.

Malori attended the University of Alabama, where she earned her B.S. in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Alabama’s ECE program is aligned with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a prominent accreditation body in early childhood education. The University of Alabama offers a program that meets NAEYC standards, ensuring students receive a quality education in early childhood education, with a focus on best practices and research-based strategies, particularly in play-based learning.

Malori’s background in early childhood education, hands-on experience, and deep understanding of how early learning shapes children’s futures have uniquely positioned her to create her own play-based Preschool here in her very own neighborhood.
